The answer is no and we understand your question. While many elevated pet beds extend another 4 inches beyond the support surface our design does not. Our space-saving frame is ideal for family settings as the legs extend straight down to reduce the overall footprint. The frame's pipes are made of sturdy steel with additional, mid-frame support on larger sizes.

A mid-frame bracket isn't necessary for small and medium beds, however, we feel they are absolutely necessary for large and x-large beds. Our large beds come standard with one mid-frame bracket and our x-large beds come standard with two.

The answer depends on whether it's the base fabric or fitted cover fabric. Yes, water and other liquids will drain through our 100% breathable mesh fabric base. Our Gray Fitted Cover is waterproof and will not drain.
